About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

We are a passionate group of capoeiristas who embarked on our capoeira journey in Washington DC under the expert guidance of Mestre Curisco. With his mentorship, we honed our skills and deepened our knowledge in the captivating Afro-Brazilian art of capoeira. Inspired by our love for the art form and a desire to share its transformative power, we have now established our own capoeira school.

Our Story

Our school is not just a training place; it's a hub of community service and a testament to our dedication. We cherish the connections we have forged within our local community, offering capoeira classes and workshops to people of all ages and backgrounds. We aim to inspire, uplift, and empower individuals through capoeira, fostering personal growth and cultural appreciation.

Our journey has taken us far and wide. We have embarked on travels to different cities and even countries, immersing ourselves in diverse capoeira communities and learning from esteemed mestres and instructors. These experiences have enriched our skills and broadened our understanding of the art form's rich tapestry.

As capoeiristas, we pride ourselves on our high level of skill and expertise. Through years of dedicated training and continuous learning, we have become proficient in the intricate movements, acrobatics, and musicality that define capoeira. We embrace the challenges and complexities of the art form, constantly striving for mastery while embracing the joy and spirit of play that capoeira embodies.

Our journey in capoeira has not only shaped us as individuals but has also allowed us to create a vibrant and inclusive community. We believe in the power of capoeira to unite people, transcend boundaries, and cultivate a sense of belonging. Together, we celebrate the beauty of this Afro-Brazilian art form, harnessing its energy to uplift ourselves and those around us.

In our school, we continue to pass on the traditions, values, and teachings that were instilled in us by Mestre Curisco. We honor his legacy and the lineage of capoeira while also embracing innovation and adaptation to suit the needs of our evolving community.

With passion, dedication, and a profound love for capoeira, we strive to make a positive impact and contribute to the growth and preservation of this incredible art form.
